Thanks so much for your informative report on your leaner. 
You seem to question the whole leaning and the complications caused by the tilt lock. 


I explored a tilter a couple of years ago and found it had more problems than solutions. I simply dont need high speed cornering for a alternate transportation vehicle. I can throw my tad pole into a 90 degree turn at 17 to 18 mph. That's fast enough. 

>Most of the velomobiles are just way too expensive. 
.......Considering all that goes into them the price is about right.
