I had my latest boat in the water for the first time yesterday.

It was a windy day that was not ideal for the first run. It did
prove it is a very dry boat.
The new carbon shaft feels well connected to the prop. My home built
1:4 gearbox is also a winner.
I was rushed to get to the water so have not yet measured final
weight but it is easy to carry complete - the stabilisers fold up for
transport. I also want to measure the torsional compliance of the
shaft.
I am still not quite happy with the shape of the bow from side
windage; something to work on for the next one. I have also worked
out how to build it with fewer panels.
