I've done fine with model airplane props, but they have to be geared
up at 1:7 or higher. A few large, coarse-pitch props have been sold
between friends.
After winning one instant boat competition too easily, the use of
metal roofing and duct tape for hull construction were banned there.
The keel usually comes out hogged, but it is still very slippery, and
the extra tracking ability can be an advantage with sails.
Best,
Bob
