[hpv-boats] V15 hull length speed limited ?

Hull speed is a defined parameter based on boat length and the
gravity constant. It does not have any significance for any slender
hull as there is no measurable wave hump. The drag goes up in
proportion to the square of the speed.

The wave piercing requirement only applies to ambient waves; not
anything to do with waves produced by the hull. The aim is to pass
through the ambient waves rather than being slowed down by them.
This is not difficult with slender hulls but they have a tendency to
dive into the back of waves when going downwind. My new deckline
with the "V" shape at the bow parts the waves neatly and does not get
forced down once underwater.

Since the hull is wave piercing instead of the other kind, does it
still experience the maximum speeds limited to hull length like sail
boats ?
